Why does darkening of the skin occurs on intimate areas?

It is normal that this happens, it is often caused by friction from your own skin or from tight clothing wear. The friction causes skin irritation which leads your skin develops more pigment than normal, as well as the lack of exfoliation leads to many layers of dead cells stock in the surface giving the skin a darker appearance, irritations from shaving, insulin resistance, pregnancy hormonal imbalance.
The genetic nature of your skin color, some skin tones will develop more pigmentation than others. Example if your a darker skin tone ( Type 4- 6 means genetically medium - darker skin tones) you tend to develop more pigmentation due to the high production on melanin your skin genetically produces compare to lighter skin tones ( Type 1- 3 genetically fair - light skin tones) have lower production of melanin.

How long does the results last?
